Do you have a strong background in Events and Experiential Marketing? Do you love getting in to the small details and nitty gritty on projects? Real Nation are recruiting for an Operations Manager within the Event and Experiential Department.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in events and experiential brand campaigns. They will possess excellent organisational, communication, problem solving and analytical skills along with an ability to work as part of a team in executing project and client campaigns. They must live and breathe attention to detail. You will have a natural inclination to question, probe, and enquire – all with the aim of the highest standards of delivery and execution in mind.

The Role and Responsibilities

This role will report to the Head of Events and Experiential and will include the following responsibilities:

  • Stay connected to the Events and Experiential team – ensuring best in class execution of projects and attention to detail

  • Help to identify upcoming issues / obstacles in project delivery

  • Pay particular attention to the ‘what if’ and ‘how’ questions within the department and on projects

  • Ensure at all times that quality and deadlines are met and compiling post-project reports to be presented to client.

  • Lead the delivery of individual projects as and when required

  • Support the Head of Department in reporting and projections

  • Drive continuous improvement – development of processes and templates for project delivery

  • Communicate expectations of the project to the teams and ensure that results meet the clients’ expectations, this to be included in a full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Manage, monitor and assist with budgeting, billing, discrepancy management and reconciliation; as well as other finance reporting where necessary.

  • Monitor competitive brand activity as well as trends in brand activation, integrated marketing in general market and bring new ideas to the table.

  • Support in brainstorming and conceptualizing for potential projects

  • Support in identifying and chasing new opportunities for business development and growth

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

You’ll wear a lot of hats here…brand activation programs may include: events, exhibitions, retail marketing, POS development and production, shopper marketing, event marketing, on-site activations, sampling programs, promotions, brand merchandise, media, advertising, sponsorships, partnerships. Your experience and skills should cover the following –

  • Qualifications in Project Management, Business, Marketing, Media are all preferable
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the events industry
  • A natural people person – good communication skills that enable enquiry
  • Understand a fully integrated marketing mix.
  • Have a broad understanding of the events landscape in Ireland, covering everything from live outdoor events, brand activations, conferencing to virtual events and broadcasting
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure and utilise strong project management skills to meet deadlines.
  • An interest and / or background in Social Media / Digital Marketing is desirable

Contract Information

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Place of Work: Real Nation Office – Arran Quay, Dublin. (Hybrid model currently in place subject to review).

Must have full right to live and work in Ireland
