Each year, HEINEKEN Ireland hosts a company conference, the aim of which is to outline the key business objectives and must win battles for the year ahead. The purpose of the event is to inspire and motivate the HEINEKEN Ireland team in attendance with a mix of presentations, keynote speakers and activities, followed by a gala dinner.
From the outset, Real Nation collaborated closely with The HEINEKEN Ireland team to execute their vision of the annual HEINEKEN Ireland Conference 2020 and to ensure maximum enjoyment, engagement and internalisation of messaging.
As well as planning the flow for optimum effect, Real Nation handled all end-to-end event management: including a nationwide sustainable transportation plan to the Cork venue; accommodation management featuring hospitality desks; and registration and luggage services. All aspects of the event were designed with the conference’s key focus of sustainability in mind. This included a bespoke ‘water-wall’ which allowed guests to fill up their own bottle as many times as they wished throughout the day.
Through a cohesive approach to event planning and stage design by Real Nation, the venue was transformed with a digital and dynamic main stage area featuring oversized curved screens wrapping the entire backdrop. This stage and production design enhanced the messages being delivered by the HEINEKEN Ireland Team and external keynote speakers.
To provide maximum connectivity Real Nation developed a unique conference app and microsite, which equipped all attendees with key conference information throughout the event. We worked closely with the communications team to produce curated event content such as highlights videos, sizzles, photography and videography throughout the event.
The success of the event was marked by the receipt of the highest internal feedback scores of any conference to date, and a HEINEKEN Ireland team that were inspired going into 2020 with a packed all-day schedule featuring presentations, keynote speakers, workshops, catering, new innovative HEINEKEN products, and a formal drinks reception, all followed by a gala dinner and entertainment.
In light of Covid-19 restrictions, HEINEKEN Ireland looked to adapt their annual conference in 2021. From this, the theme of ‘Adapt to Grow’ was born.
Real Nation worked to ensure the HEINEKEN Ireland team experienced all that they had experienced in previous live conferences, but from the comfort and safety of their own homes. This comprised of developing a bespoke conference website which hosted live presentations in studio, pre-recorded interviews and keynotes, the launch of newly produced HEINEKEN product adverts during conference breaks, and live Q&As.
